excavates spoil piles of iron-containing and coal-bearing slimes in Dneprodzerdzhynsk (ash-heap area of Dnepr Metallurgy Plant OJSC). “Ecologiya-Dnepr 2000” Ltd. has all necessary authorization documents – quality certificates and licences.
An advanced transport infrastructure is of great importance – slime spoil piles are situated at the eastern edge of Dneprodzerdzhynsk (Dnepropetrovsk Region) in the interfluve of Dnepr and Konoplyanka rivers 3km to the east of the Dneprodzerdzhynsk railway station of Pridneprovskaya Railroad. The total deposits of iron-containing and coal-bearing slimes in the excavated spoil piles amounts to 4.5 Mio. tones.
Qualitative characteristics of the excavated slimes are as follows: rather high magnetic iron content (not less than 20%) in iron-containing slimes, and relatively low ash content (47.72%) in coal-bearing slimes, respectively. The general growth of metallurgy industry, increase in demand for iron ore and the recently emerged deficiency in raw materials in this field of economy enable “Ecologiya-Dnepr 2000” Ltd. to successfully occupy its niche at the market and to ensure production distribution.
